Fall in Love with Fall in Gettysburg!

It’s the first official week of fall, and we’re ready to celebrate! Gettysburg is a gorgeous place to enjoy everything that fall has to offer – whether you love apple picking, brewery tours, strolls through the fall foliage, or a spooky ghost tour, Gettysburg has it all in store for you!

Adams County has put together a dazzling array of fall activities for the whole family to enjoy. Today, we want to give you some inspiration to plan a marathon of fun for a weekend getaway in Gettysburg – no matter what piques your interest, it can be found here!

You Can Pick Your Friends, and Your Apples

One of the best aspects of fall is the fresh apples, right? Situated just north of historic Gettysburg is Boyer Nurseries & Orchards, which is known for its pick-your-own apple harvest running right now through October 20th! With over a dozen apple varieties from which you can choose, it’s impossible not to enjoy apple picking at Boyer.

Additionally, what’s apple picking without a stop at the evergreen hedge maze and the incredible wine & cider tasting room? These ciders are made with the fresh, organic apples grown at the orchard, so you know that the ciders will be as crisp and refreshing as the apples you just picked!

Tiptoe Through the Tulips – Or, the Fall Foliage

How beautiful is it to stroll through the crisp reds and golds of cascading fall leaves? We think it’s one of the most incredible sights to behold; that’s why Gettysburg should be high on your list of fall attractions to visit as leaves get into their full color-changing swing!

View the otherworldly foliage from the peak of Little Round Top, or take a walk through Gettysburg National Military Park for an immersive experience. You can even choose to see the changing leaves on horseback through Stables Horse Rescue or Hickory Hollow Farm!

Spook Yourself with a Ghost Tour

With fall comes Halloween, and with Halloween comes spooky ghost stories. Who better to tell those stories than the apparitions who lived them? Gettysburg Battlefield Bus Tours is offering a bone-chilling ghost bus tour, as well as several walking tours to fully immerse you in the fractured stories of lives gone terribly wrong.

Interested in finding ghosts for yourself? Check out our paranormal investigations and conduct one of your own! Keep our specialty ghost tours in mind as well as fall draws to a close and winter beckons. But beware: you may find yourself smack in the middle of someone else’s story!

There’s no shortage of fun to be had in Gettysburg this fall, so be sure to make your reservations today! For bus tour information or to book your own, give us a call at 877-680-TOUR or check our online tour calendar. We look forward to ringing in the fall fun with you!
