Join the Friends of Gettysburg, the membership arm of the Gettysburg Foundation, on April 19-21 for the Annual Spring Muster. The activities for the weekend will begin Friday evening at 4 p.m. in the Members’ Lounge of the Wyndham Hotel Gettysburg. Saturday’s events begin at 7 a.m. in the Members’ Lounge of the Wyndham. Battlefield tours will start at 8:15 a.m., and historians and Licensed Battlefield Guides will offer a variety of tour theme choices, including “Daniel’s North Carolina Brigade,” “There is No Fail Here,” “We Never Expected a Battle” and many others. After a full day of tours on Saturday, cocktails and a banquet will be held beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the Wyndham ballroom. A silent auction and basket raffle will take place during the banquet.
Sunday guests will enjoy the First Corps Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. with featured speaker Carol Reardon, author of several Civil War-related books. Following breakfast, participants can join the Gettysburg Preservation Walk, a 45-minute walk on the battlefield led by Licensed Battlefield Guides. The theme of the walk will be “Walking in the Footsteps of the 1913 Reunion Veterans.”
The registration deadline is Friday, April 5. Open to members and non-members, the cost of this event is $140 for members and $165 for non-members (this price does not include lodging).
