Sherbert

Amish-Friends-Cookbook With the temperatures on the rise, July’s recipe calls for something that is both easy and refreshing.  Our featured recipe this month is Sherbet. Enjoy!

Sherbet

  • 2 (6 ounce) package gelatin (any flavor)
  • 2 cups hot water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 quarts milk

Dissolve gelatin in water and chill until partially set. Add sugar and milk: beat well. Pour into ice cream freezer and process until frozen.

Simply easy. Have a great 4th of July.
