The Gettysburg community, and surrounding towns in Adams county Pennsylvania, will host the “Pink Journey of Lights” throughout the month of October. It is an awareness and fundraising event held in conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The GHC is proud to be participating in this event. In addition to displaying pink lights, we will be one of the venues for the Pink Houses Music Festival on October 4, from 1 pm – 7 pm. The festival runs October 3 & 4 at various locations throughout the town, and will include female-fronted bands. Donations jars will be passed around for anyone wishing to contribute to the fundraiser.
A matching-funds donation campaign will take place at the GHC throughout the month of October. Dollar for dollar, the GHC will match collected donations up to $1000! Your contributions will go twice as far! Be sure to stop in the lobby of the Heritage Center located at 297 Steinwehr Avenue, to drop off your donation!
Donations collected throughout the month will remain in Adams County, and given to the following local organizations: Pink Out Women’s Cancer Fund, Gettysburg Hospital Foundation Adams County Cancer Patient Help Fund, and the Adams County Breast Cancer Coalition Free Mammogram Fund. Come out and support this great community event!
