For June the kids are getting out of school and many families begin their vacations. Some travel far, while others vacation right in their backyard. Here in Gettysburg, we are fortunate to have many hiking areas not just on the Battlefield but also there are quite a few wonderful state parks just a few minutes’ drive in almost any direction.
Junes featured recipe is amazing , portable and easy. Perfect for stashing away for the hikes.
- 1 (20oz.) pkg. white almond bark
- 3 cups toasted oat cereal
- 3 cups honey graham cereal
- 3 cups pretzel sticks
- 1(10.5 oz.) bag of mini marshmallows
- 1(12.6 oz.) bag M&Ms
- 1(16 oz.) jar dry roasted peanuts
Melt almond bark according to package directions. In a large bowl, mix together all other ingredients. Pour melted almond bark over cereal mixture and stir well to combine. Spread on waxed paper: cool. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
