As you read this hopefully the weather has turned a bit warmer. With Easter arriving late this year, we thought it would be appropriate to feature an Easter dessert that is quick and delicious. Here’s to warmer weather and Happy Spring!!
- 1 cup half-and half
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 rounded tablespoons flour 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell
Preheat oven to 350. In saucepan, combine half-and-half and whipping cream. Warm slightly. Turn off heat and add sugar, salt, and flour: beat with whisk. Add vanilla and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into unbaled pastry shell. Bake 45 minutes or until just a little shaky.
