American History and Reenactor’s Appreciation Weekend

Living History Event

All Living Historians and Reenactors of all periods of American History are invited to join in for an enjoyable and fun, fact filled weekend. Special hotel rates and merchants’ specials will be offered in APPRECIATION TO YOUR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION TO EXHIBITING and TEACHING AMERICAN HISTORY.

American History Trivia at the Pike Restaurant – 6pm to 10 pm – the Game is FREE (Dinner and cash bar can be purchased before and during the game)

Civil War seminars at different places of business during the daytime –
10 am to 4 pm

Special discounts provided by participating Town’s Merchants and Civil War Sutlers.(Period dress is required by many Merchants….from Colonial times until WW2 )

Military Honors Dance at the American Legion 8pm to 11pm – Cost is $15per person or $25 per couple. Period clothing is NOT required but preferred (cash bar and refreshments available during the dance and Dinner can be ordered from 5:30 to 6:30pm )

We will hold a WW2 period Church Service in the Historic Daniel Lady Barn at 10am located on Hanover road (bring a chair). Tours available all weekend at the farm.

Then more shopping at our Sponsoring Merchants in Gettysburg, the Steinwehr Ave Business District, GAC and ALHES.
