
155th PA Infantry
April 11, 2016 Located on the summit of Little Round Top the monument to the 155th PA. Infantry can be found. This marks their position on July 2nd & 3rd as they watched for a return visit by the Confederates. The Veteran’s Association used money for this marker that was raised exclusively by veterans & friends in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
Private Samuel W. Hill formerly of company F of this regiment was used as the model for the life sized, fully armed & equipped statue of the soldier in zouave uniform atop the marker.
Dedicated on September 17, 1886 & crafted from Ryegate & Hardwick granite this monument cost $3,000.00
