Remembering One, Honoring All

John and Susan McColley began the Sgt. Mac Memorial Foundation in Gettysburg to honor the memory of their son, USMC Sergeant Eric McColley. On February 17, 2006, he perished in a helicopter accident over the Horn of Africa, alongside 7 of his fellow Marines and 2 Airmen. The Foundation places memorial wreaths on the graves of soldiers in Gettysburg National Cemetery and Quantico National Cemetery each year, and last year placed 500 in Gettysburg. On December 2, 2011 they will return, this time with over three times as many wreaths!
