Winter Lecture Series

Held every weekend beginning January 7 and

ending in March.  At the Gettysburg National

Military Park Museum & Visitor Center

Held at one of the film theaters in the Visitor

Center.  Program begins at 1:30 p.m. and

lasts approximately one hour.  Call

demonstrations, book signings and

Hall of Presidents and First Ladies: Listen to the story of America by our Presidents and enjoy the fashions of different eras through the authentic reproductions of our First Ladies’ inaugural gowns.    Opening for the season March 10, 2012 (weather permitting).  Hours  10 AM - 4 PM (Sunday-Friday ) 9 AM - 5 PM (Saturday).

Soldiers National Museum

Soldiers National Museum: Highlights America’s Military in miniature and Dioramas of the 10 major battles of the Civil War.  Opening for the season March 10, 2012 (weather permitting).  Hours 10 AM - 4 PM (Sunday-Friday) 9 AM - 5 PM (Saturday).

Jennie Wade House

Jennie Wade House: Experience the tragedy of Jennie Wade, the only citizen killed during the Civil War.  Opening for the season on March 10, 2012 (weather permitting).  Hours 10 AM - 4 PM (Sunday-Friday) 9 AM - 5 PM (Saturday).

Lincoln Train Museum

Lincoln Train Museum: Learn railroad’s part in the Civil War, travel with Abraham Lincoln to Gettysburg from Washington, DC and enjoy “time traveled” collection of model trains. Opening for the season March 10, 2012 (weather permitting).  Hours 10 AM - 4 PM (Sunday-Friday) 9 AM - 5 PM (Saturday).

Gettysburg Battle Theatre

Gettysburg Battle Theatre: Find out how the soldiers progressed from Fredericksburg, VA to Gettysburg, PA in a multi-media presentation.   Call (717) 334-6100 for times.

American Civil War Wax Museum

American Civil War Museum: Learn what took place prior to the Civil War,during the Civil War, after the Civil War and listen to the “Gettysburg Address”.  Call (717) 334-6245 for times.

 Gettysburg Battlefield Diorama

3 DIMENSIONAL viewing of the "ENTIRE" Gettysburg      Battlefield.  Picture the battle through the eyes of Generals' Lee and Meade.  Over 20,000 hand-painted figures with a 30 minute Light and Sound Show!  Call (717) 334-6408 for times.
