October in Gettysburg

If you’re a Gettysburg regular, you already know that October is a great time to visit—there’s so much happening, so much to do! Ghost tour junkies get their fill, from the Sachs Bridge Haunted Bus Tour, to walking tours, to Ghostly Encounters in the Haunted Orphanage or Jennie Wade House. For the truly brave, there are opportunities to spend Midnight in the Orphanage or in the Jennie Wade House (both with a Ghost Investigator).

But take note: Gettysburg hotels will be extra busy this October, especially over Halloween Weekend. Plan your trip early and make room reservations now! If you wait and miss your chance, it will haunt you!

I am looking to spend this weekend in Gettysburg. What are the events and where is a good place to stay?

This is Parents Weekend at the College. I’m not sure what hotels, motels, have available. You can find a list of Hotels, Motels, etc. on Destination Gettysburg’s Website: http://www.DestinationGettysburg.com. You can also find a list of events in the area on this website as well.
If I can be of further assistance please direct questions to info@gburgtours.com

As the Haunted Tours are not conducted on the Gettysburg National Military Park it would be
more individuals that would be on their in the evening. Ghost Tours are exceptionally busy
during that time. The Park itself is open until 10 PM through October 31st.
Beginning November 1st it closes at 7 PM. Hope this helps.
