Historic Tavern Tour at Gettysburg Brew Fest

Join us on Saturday afternoon August 23, 2014 for this intriguing look back on these old taverns and inns and the interesting proprietors that ran them. The tour will follow the route of Robert E Lee’s Confederate army from western Adams County to Gettysburg in 1863. As we follow Lee’s route Licensed Battlefield Guide John Winkelman will talk about the importance of inns and taverns in 18th and 19th century America and how the events of July 1863 would impact these establishments. Special Brew Fest tour’only $15 (will pick up and drop off at the main entrance to the Gettysburg Brew Fest). Two tour times offered: Noon to 1:45pm and 2:15 to 4:00pm.  Click here for tickets.
