Emancipation 2012

This month, Gettysburg pays tribute to the Emancipation Proclamation with a special event comprised of exclusive exhibits, lectures, and programs. “Emancipation 2012: 150 Years Since the New Beginning” will be open from September 21-23 and is hosted by the Gettysburg National Military Park, the Gettysburg Foundation, and Gettysburg College. A copy of the Emancipation Proclamation—signed by Lincoln!–will be on display in the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.
