151st Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address

November 19, the anniversary of the Gettysburg Address and the Dedication of the Soldiers’ National Cemetery, was formally designated as Dedication Day, by a joint resolution of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, on November 19, 1946. This annual event features a wreath laying at the Soldiers’ National Monument, keynote speaker Kent Masterson Brown (the first Chairman of the GNMP Advisory Commission and currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Gettysburg Foundation), and is sponsored by the Lincoln Fellowship of PA, Gettysburg National Military Park, Gettysburg College, and the Gettysburg Foundation.

This is a free event open to the general public. We encourage you to bring lawn chairs, as limited seating is available. Parkign and shuttle service is available for the event at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center in Lot #3.
